DIORAMAS, III. LIGHT SWITCHING

Dioramas is an ongoing serialized release by saxophonist and songwriter Levon Henry. Set with cover photographs by Maya Tellman, each installment is constructed as a discreet atmosphere; they are made to fabricate place, as the title might suggest. The music is liberally edited to set the recording process—heavy on improvisation—free of consequence, and the order in which elements are recorded and layered varies throughout the series.
